J Cole’s current tour ‘Dollar And A Dream’ made its stop in the Big Apple last night and during his performance of ‘In The Morning’ OVO’s Drake calmly walked on stage unannounced to spit his verse which sent the crowd in to a frenzy.
It didn’t get any less hype after that either as Drake went on to perform “Say What’s Real” and “Started From The Bottom” where fans recited the lyrics word for word…..
It’s safe to say Kanye’s marketing strategy for his forthcoming album ‘Yeezus’ has been unconventional and last night he arranged a last minute listening session at the loading dock in NYC’s meatpacking district.
Those in attendance included Jay-Z, Beyoncé, DJ Khaled, Timbaland & more, You can peep out some of the footage below as well as the thoughts of the album from Hot 97’s Rosenberg who was also in attendance.
Red Bull’s famed Culture Clash hits New York for the first time tonight and will feature heavyweight dj’s going head to head in a battle of all battles. The line up consists of Just Blaze and Guru, vs. Max Glazer and the Federation Sound crew, vs. Brooklyn’s Trouble and Bass collective, and Latin bass crew Que Bajo!.
The contest will be decided over 4 rounds:

Crews play whatever floats their boats. No winner in this round.
ROUND TWO – THE SELECTOR
Crews are judged on tune selection and presentation.
ROUND THREE – SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY
Crews twist it up and play an opponent’s style of music.
ROUND FOUR – THE DECIDER
