JAY Z’s ‘The Magna Carta Holy Grail’ tour made a stop in Florida and the MMG cameras were rolling backstage as Rozay linked with the Roc Nation boss to perform their collaboration track ‘FuckWitMeYouKnowIGotIt’.

Looks like Jay has begun to roll out videos from ‘Magna Carta’ as he takes to New York’s Pace Gallery to shoot the visual for ‘Picasso Baby’. Jigga went on to perform the track for 6 hours as he interacted with the audience which represented a cross section of the New York art and cultural world. Peep out some of the footage below…

The Breakfast Show – Jay-z Interview

After stopping by Hot 97 and The Angie Martinez show Jay then made his debut on Power 105 and sat down with the Breakfast Club for an hour long interview. During the sit down they spoke on his album ‘Magna Carter’, Memphis Bleek being in his shadow, ‘Yeezus’, New York rap, the gentrification of Brooklyn, Lil Wayne & more.

URNEWYORK Create A Limited Edition “Magna Carta Holy Grail” Lyric Book

If you remember a few weeks back Roc Nation organised a scavenger hunt across New York City for an official booklet which revealed the track-list for Jay-z’s album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’. Well American Graffiti and visual-arts collective, URNEWYORK, managed to obtain a copy and have recreated their own version which they plan to redistribute back in to the community via another scavenger hunt.

“Able by chance to obtain one of the very limited edition, JAY-Z – MAGNA CARTA, hardcopy lyric booklets, SKI and 2ESAE of URNEWYORK have created 20 unique artworks directly onto each of the “lyric” sheets of heavy paper.

UR, as perhaps the sole artists being given a copy, decided to create a sort of (re)work. Appropriating the Jay-Z brand’s idea, and redistributing the gift back into the population. 5 works, one for each of the 5 boros of New York are slated to be given out via city-wide scavenger hunt, with details emerging soon @URNEWYORK.

URNEWYORK salutes the Brooklyn legend, Jay-Z, as a great lyricist, teacher, entrepreneur, and business mogul. But most of all, for being an inspiration. 2ESAE expounds, “One of the few individuals having come from the same streets, and roots as us, and always kept it true to our way of living, our own motto, “be who you are”. As the hours count down to the release of Jay’s album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ he decides to unveil the cover at an installation at The Salisbury Cathedral which is home to one of the four surviving original Magna Carta documents. Word has it that the Cathedral snapped up 1 million copies of Jigga’s album for the privilege, ok maybe I made that last bit up, check out the pics below….
