Drake had the honours of closing out Coachella this year and didn’t waste no time as he hit the stage performing a melody of ‘Legend’, ‘Trophies’ & ‘We Made It’ before interacting with the crowd informing them that he was under clear instruction from his mum to tear shit down!
The biggest surprise came when Drizzy was performing his track ‘Madonna’ (around the 37 minute mark) when Madge herself came out on stage to join Drake and performed a few of her tracks before giving him what looked like the kiss of death, not sure Drake was to impressed judging by his reaction lol.
The Weeknd closed out day 2 of Coachella which saw the Canadian crooner hitting the crowd with tracks old and new including joints from his classic debut mixtape ‘House Of Balloons’. (more…)

LA’s Power 106 brought us their yearly ‘Powerhouse’ concert last night and was closed out by headlining act Nicki Minaj who tore it down with an energetic 30 minute set. The performance began with a an excerpt from the movie ‘Training Day’ before the self proclaimed queen of hip hop went through her repertoire of hits including new cuts ‘Lookin Ass’, ‘ChiRaq’ & ‘Boss A** Bi**h’.
With the 20 year anniversary of Nas’ classic album ‘Illmatic’ fast approaching the Queensbridge MC took to the Coachella stage and performed the masterpiece in it’s entirety. Nas also brought out JAY Z on stage who performed ‘Dead Presidents’ & ‘Where I’m From’ and finished off the set with “Made You Look”, “Hate Me Now” with Diddy & “One Mic”.
Pharrell and his now signature hat graced the stage last night at Coachella which saw the Neptune hit-maker bring out on stage Busta Rhymes, Nelly, Gwen Stefani, Diplo, Snoop, Tyler The Creator & Diddy to assist him on tearing it down as he treated the crowd to past and present hits.
One of the most anticipated performances at this years Coachella was Outkast who were to reunite for the first time in 10 years and they definitely didn’t disappoint.
The duo kicked things off with their high energy track ‘B.O.B’ before treating fans to both solo and group material including ‘Rosa Parks, ‘Ms Jackson’, ‘Shutterbug’, ‘Elevators’, ‘Hey Ya’ & more.
They also brought out fellow ATLiens Future, Janelle Monae, Killer Mike & Sleepy Brown in what was an epic performance and left us wanting more, hopefully this will trigger a new album.
A$AP Ferg & the Mob invaded this years Coachella where Ferg went through his catalogue of music including ‘Work’ & ‘Shabba’ before Rocky joined him on stage and premiered a new untitled track around the 32 minute mark.
Manchester was the location for this years BBC 6 Music Festival and saw a wide range of artists taking to the stage including Kelis, Jake Bugg, Haim, Lykke Li & James Blake who’s set you can check out below.
